May is the National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.
Each year, the Fremont Police Department with a community gym and holds a fundraiser created around fitness for a local charity.
The 3rd such annual fitness competition, called “Badges and Barbells”, will be hosted at Crossfit Jigsaw.
New this is the addition of a general public division which will let community athletes participate in the competition alongside public safety athletes.
All the proceeds from Barbells and Badges will benefit the Martin C. Kauffman 100 Club of Alameda County.

The event will be limited to 20 teams of 2 athletes for each division, so early registration is recommended! Teams may be made up in any combination (male/male, male/female, female/female).
There are outstanding prizes for podium finishers!
