In 2012, Lindsey became a board-certified Athletic Trainer. Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Her understanding of the human body, anatomy, and biomechanics makes her a great coach and resource. Lindsey then moved to the Bay Area to pursue her Masters degree in Kinesiology and has since worked as an athletic trainer in many settings such as orthopedic physician offices, physical therapy clinics, chiropractic offices, Division 1 football, community college sports teams, and professional softball (she also played D1 Softball). She has been coaching CrossFit since 2013.
Motivation & Passion
Just like a good CrossFitter specializes in not specializing, coach Lindsey's passion, purpose, and coaching ability can reach a wide variety of people. Although Lindsey enjoys developing competitors and athletes in areas such as complex skill instruction and programming for specific goals, she also finds fulfillment in molding beginners. She enjoys properly guiding those newer to functional exercise or lifting and watching them become the fit and confident individual they never imagined they could be. Her experience as an athletic trainer also allows her to successfully work with individuals managing pain or issues from injuries or surgeries.
