The snatch, whether power or full, is one of the most complicated barbell movements, among athletes. Then why do we need to do so much of this lift? It’s all based on an athlete’s ability to develop power. Moving a barbell such a great distance, in the fastest amount of time possible, will create more force, encouraging the athlete to develop power. That is accomplished in this particular movement.  Going from the ground to overhead, within a very short time domain requires power. you Can bench press or back squat to develop strength, but the time it takes to complete the movement is so much more, simply because there isn’t necessarily an explosive point in the movement, and the distance is not a large enough range of space. so if you want more power to help you become a better athlete, snatch more often. See you at the gym!!
